Numbers and Narrows Trips
The Numbers starts off fast with some of the most demanding and continuous whitewater in Colorado.
The Numbers and Narrows is a great section of whitewater just north of Buena Visa. The Narrows (a.k.a. Wild Horse Canyon) has great rapids and beautiful scenery.
The Numbers and Narrows can be run separately as half-day trips or combined to make a great one-day trip. We offer three great trips -- our Numbers Half-Day, our Narrows Bonus Half-Day, and our Number/Narrows One-Day Trip.
Numbers Half-Day Trip
The Numbers starts off fast with some of the most demanding and continuous whitewater in Colorado. This five-mile stretch of whitewater is short, fast and furious! The Numbers is extremely challenging and is only runnable within a limited range of water levels. Rafters should be in good physical condition and have previous rafting experience.
Narrows Bonus Half-Day Trip
The Narrows (a.k.a. Wild Horse Canyon) has great rapids and beautiful scenery. This nine-mile trip is not as fast and furious as the Numbers so it gives you a chance to relax more between the big rapids. It is great for people who have rafted Brown's Canyon and who want to raft a different, but comparable, section of water. We include two extra miles of great whitewater in our half-day trip and take out at our office in Johnson Village. Most companies either take out in Buena Vista and miss the last two miles of great rapids or take out at Fisherman's Bridge, adding four miles of slower water to the end of their trip.
Numbers/Narrows One-Day Trip
This 14-mile trip starts off fast and furious with the Numbers, some of the most demanding and continuous whitewater in Colorado. After lunch, the pace slows as we enter the Narrows, a beautiful, technical section of water with rapids similar in difficulty to those found in Brown's Canyon. We do all of the rapids in the Numbers and Narrows plus add two miles of great whitewater to the end of your trip.
